TuBAvI-2 as well participated in UniAmoLodi, the Festival of social inclusion with the aid of animals held at the University Veterinary Campus in Lodi, October 5th-7th.

Born from the ideas of teachers of the University of Milan and of Lodi territory Institutions, UniAmoLodi is aimed to raise awareness on social inclusion and to promote inclusive initiatives with the help of animals, through evidences, in-depth meetings, and convivial and entertaining events.

On Saturday October 7th, researchers from TuBAvI-2 project organised the Poultry Expression Laboratory for the families from the territory, to present the activities performed at the Avian Center for the Conservation of Local Genetic Resources (Lodi, University Veterinary Campus) to preserve local poultry breeds.

Prof. Luisa Zaniboni from UniMI (second from the right) and Dr. Lucia Suprero (first from the right), veterinarian specialising in applied ethology and animal welfare, who prepared the pictures shown during the Poultry Expression Laboratory. With them, the staff of Cooperativa Tempo per l’infanzia – Parco Trotter, from the Municipality of Milan, School and Education Sector, that was also acknowledged by the Region of Lombardy as performing assisted educational activities with the aid of animals (poultry and cats), to whom UniMI donated two Mericanel della Brianza hens.
